What they say about us
Posted on Aileen Manton Works great Love it. No more hand in the bag to pick up poopPosted on Babbs Easy peasy Easiest way to catch dog poop when walking. I just hold behind he as dye poops no mess or picking up.He goes right in the bagPosted on J. Brubaker Best pooper scooper I've owned The designer nailed it with the Go Go Stik. I'm disabled and have a hard time cleaning up after my service dog. I had one of those double claw scoopers, which worked--but it was always filthy. I took a risk on this one and it paid off. First, the handle is solid plastic/fiberglass--really strong and substantial. Second, then scooper end that holds the bags really works. If you install the bag properly, the tool itself is protected from the mess--it stays clean! Third, use the big bags made for it! They send some with it and I ordered another box--I have a 55# standard poodle and those bags are big enough for an ENTIRE week of poo clean-up. Because I go through one bag per week, the cost of the bags is really low--and they fit well. I use the criss/cross method to secure the bags. Practice a few times loading a bag until you get it right, it isn't hard but it is easy to get a bag on wrongly and that leaves you with much less poo capacity. I own two of these now!Posted on Wesly Ramage Momentum driven lift leisure scooper. All in one first shot. Quick assembled pooper scooper. Minimal packaging shows all items ready to go. Instructions clearly outlined on the casing show you how to utilize this pooper scooper line it up lift, and scoop job done. Reducing the need to bend down and pick up dog waste this scooper remains to be seen. It’s forwarding motion should effectively lift dog waste, cleanly, and clearly into the bag minimizing any contact however, if dealing with long grass or other grasses that are thick, this process may not work well. This ultimately means you may have to get your hands dirty, and pick it up manually. For now it’s a wait-and-see moment. Tried once with moderate success.Posted on Wayne Only had it a few weeks and it seems durable and easy to use Works very well and easy instructions to follow.Posted on Judson This thing works great! Don’t usually write reviews, but this scooper is so well thought out and works better than expected, I had to give kudos to the company. I’m limited to bending for several weeks following surgery and had to find a solution. This scooper completely fits the need, is easy to use and works on both hard surface and grass. Learning how to ‘load’ the bag is a short process and once accomplished, it is clean and not messy to remove. Great product! Posted on J. Brown The tool is lightweight and easy to carry I have two small dogs who provide me with ample opportunity to use this Pooper Scooper. The tool is lightweight and easy to carry, although I do not intend to take it when I walk the dogs (which was suggested on one site). The handle is an appropriate length. The two different scooper sides (one for grass and one for hard level surfaces such a concrete) are similar in size, and only a little different in shape. I still do not distinguish between the two without thinking about how they are used. I have watched videos demonstrating the proper techniques for scooping on grass or hard surfaces. The videos helped, but I still find that I have not mastered the required skills. Sometimes I can scoop successfully, but most of the time I still need to use some kind of pusher to persuade the "doggie diamonds" to get into the Pooper Scooper's bag. I love the idea that the Scooper uses a plastic bag! It took a few tries, but now I can securely fasten the plastic bags (with and without handles) onto the scooping surfaces of the tool. Removing the bag from the tool is easy and clean. My hands do not get soiled. I just tie a knot in the bag and toss it in the trash (with a silent apology to the garbage company personnel who short the rubbish). Using a plastic bag is a big advantage to this unit! Being from drought-ridden California, I also appreciate that I do not need to waste water and time trying to clean messes off the Pooper Scooper. The Scooper seems to work best for me on fairly dry "poopie puppies". I have trouble taking wet messes cleanly off grass blades, usually leaving a brown shadow to showcase my lack of skill. I have not returned The Pooper Scooper because I think that its advantages outweigh its disadvantages. Perhaps, with more practice, I will be able to use it well enough to consider giving it more stars. Even with my lack of skill, being able to cover the business end of the tool with the plastic bag is such a plus for me that I feel that the Pooper Scooper works better for me than the other tools of this nature that I have used in the past.Posted on Steve B Does the job with a little patience Works good on solid services, although I did have to use the toe of my shoe to encourage the waste into the bag at times. Doesn't work well at all on longer grass, 2 1/2" to 3", wet grass or freshly laid down stool. I will continue to use it and who knows I may learn to incorporate some finesse with my poop scooping skills!Posted on Alyeska NC Works well for us We had a similar scooper years ago but it finally fell apart and we went looking for a replacement. This was the closest product we could find to our previous one. It has some cons, which I'll detail below, but also a major plus. It's lightweight, which is nice. We have big dogs, with correspondingly-sized poo left behind, so the lighter the better for us. On the other hand, it also means that it would probably be easy to damage, mainly the shaft, which is hollow, lightweight (metal? plastic?; not sure, actually). So don't leave it lying in the yard where it could be stepped on!What I really like about this device is the way the bags completely cover the head of it. This keeps it clean. One of the tasks I always hated was having to clean our previous device after use - and if you use it every time your dog goes, that's a lot of water to use every day from your hose. I've not had to rinse the the thing off since it was purchased (summer of '14). BUT, the caveat with this is that by putting the bag on properly, you lose approximately 50% of the potential holding volume of your bag. If you use the typically sized plastic grocery bags, you aren't able to put very much into it. It's not much of a problem for us, as we clean the yard frequently, but if you're in the habit of cleaning up after your dog only a couple times a week, make sure you have plenty of bags with you.As to technique, I've never attempted to just scoop it up with just this device. We have a small rake that we use to push the poo into the bag; it was one that came with our previous scooper and since it was still in good condition, we kept it for the new device. The opening can be a bit narrow, and usually I shake the stick to make sure the contents move down to the bottom of the bag. As I said, we have big dogs but this device does work well for us.It remains to be seen how long this will last. I hope a long time because, frankly, I don't see any other scooper out there for less than $25 - ridiculous since our last one cost only about $8 when we first bought it (but, admittedly, that was a long time ago). And I do like the fact that it stays clean - that was important for me.Amazon rating score: 4.0 of 5, based on 961 reviews
